How to batch convert images using XnView, a powerful free graphic and photo viewer, converter and organiser.

A very popular and helpful function is the conversion of multiple images. To convert several images you specify which images you want to convert and choose the effects, filters, and actions which are applied to every image during conversion. Choose Tools > Batch Processing to display the conversion dialog:

Before invoking this menu, select the image files you want to convert using Ctrl+click in the XnView browser. Then, when you select Tools > Batch Conversion, the list of files to convert is already displayed.

This application has been tested under Windows Vista Home Premium with SP2 (32 bit and 64 bit) and Windows 7.
