Click on 'Sign In' in order to enter your user name and password. You need to be careful, though and set your browser or pop-up blocker to allow pop-ups. Otherwise you won't be able to use the Yahoo! webmessenger.

For example, Firefox shows a yellow bar on top of your browser saying that 'Firefox prevented this site from opening a popup window'. You need to click the 'Options' button and select to allow pop-ups for webmessenger.yahoo.com. Next, you'll have to agree to be taken to an encrypted page.

After pop-ups were allowed, you can click again the 'Sign In' button. The following window will pop up. Click 'Yes' to continue to Yahoo! webmessenger. Now, all you have to do is fill in your user name and password and you're ready for a chat session.
