There are lots of programs for file encryption. I tried File Lock PRO to safely lock files before you email, backup or upload them to an FTP site. Files that are locked by the application are completely secure and portable. All your protected files can only be opened with the original password, so that noone can open them unless providing the proper password set to lock them.

File Lock PRO is very easy to use to protect your files. In order to prevent unauthorised disclosuere of your files, you need to follow a few simple steps in order to lock your files. This program is recommended for personal use because you can only lock one or more files, but you can't lock an entire directory or partition.

If you decided it's time to protect your files, first of all you need to download and install File Lock PRO. When you run File Lock PRO for the first time, you will be prompted to provide a password necessary for accessing the program and locking/unlocking files.

After, you've installed the program, run it and you will be able to lock your files immediately. First, you need to select the files you wish to protect (lock). You can either drag and drop them frrom Windows Explorer or you can select them by pushing the 'Add' button, browse your computer and then click 'Open' in add them to the list of protected files.

After you've added the files you wish to protect, select them and click the 'Lock/Unlock' button on the program interface.' File Lock PRO will encrypt them so that the files will be protected from unauthorised access.
