There are occasions when you may wish to delete some file so that they won't be stored in Recycle Bin. If you wish those files to be gone forever and make sure that no one can recover them, you can use the 'Secure Delete Wizard' provided by File Lock PRO.

When you delete a file, the data is not actually gone. The operating system does not actually remove the deleted file from the disk, it only marks the file as deleted. The file will still remain on the hard drive until another file is created that writes over top of it. Therefore, a deleted file can be recovered easily with simply file recovery software.

The hard drive free space cleaner will safely and securely erase the free space on your hard drive and prevent recovery of deleted files. Safely, securely and completely delete files from your computer. Using the file shredder feature of File Lock PRO, you can permanently erase your unwanted files from your hard drive. Secure file deletion will prevent recovery of your private data.

The deletion process is quite simple: open the program (don't forget the password), push the 'Secure Delete Wizard' button and you're one step closer from getting rid of unwanted files. Click 'Add file' to ad one or more files or clikc 'Add folder' to delete entire directories.

Once you've selected the files you wish to delete completely, a warning will pop up, prompting you to confirm that those files you want erased. If you're not sure about making them disappear, hit 'No', if you want to proceed click 'Yes'.

Once you've clicked 'Yes', the deletion process will start. If you have a large volume of files and change your mind, you can press 'Cancel' to stop the process. However I recommend to be sure of what you wish, because there's no going back.
